07/08 Media Sandbox Criteria
The criteria for selecting successful proposals for Media Sandbox 2008 was set at the Pervasive Media Ideas Lab on 29th November at Watershed:
- Wow Factor: are your ideas inspirational/ambitious?
- Ground-breaking: are your ideas original and innovative? Is there a clear research question?
- Feasibility: Is your idea viable within the budget? Is it technologically viable?
- People and value: What is the benefit? Is it user-centred? Is it accessible to the audience you are specifying?
- Legacy: What will it deliver when the commission ends? Is it commercial? Is it sustainable? Does it have potential to grow?
Proposal guidelines:
Do:
- Consider forming consortia proposals with other organisations and companies
- Be clear about the scope of the pilot and what you will deliver
- Think about how you will evaluate the success of your project
- Make sure at least one partner is based in the South West of England
Avoid
- Copying ideas which are already in the market place
- Submitting ideas which already exist in traditional media formats
